The Indian Coast Guard GD Recruitment 2025 (Indian Coast Guard ICG Vacancy 2025) is finally announced by the Ministry Of Defense. The website’s official notification was released on January 22, 2025. The application forms are available from February 11 to 03 March 2025 (Last Date extended). It is an excellent opportunity for Indian males to become a part of India’s Armed Forces. 

A total of 300 vacancies have been opened, including those in Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch). Navik (GD) has 260 positions, while Navok (DB) has 40 positions. Eligibility Criteria For Indian Coast Guard GD Recruitment 2025

Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Duty) have different eligibility requirements. If you want to fill out the application form, you need to fill them out. Both general and reserved categories are eligible to apply for these posts. The age limit is between 18 years and 22 years. Apart from that, the educational qualifications are as follows:

• Navik DB: Candidates should be 12th pass and have Physics and Maths as their subjects. 

• Navik DB: Candidates should be 10th pass to fulfill the criteria. 

Selection Process: Four Main Stages

The selection process of Indian Coast Guard GD Recruitment 2025 is divided into four stages. Here is a detailed overview of each stage-

Online Examination (Computer-based) 

The online examination for the post of Navik GD is the first stage of the selection. It consists of two sections. The first section of 60 questions (1 mark for every question) includes Mathematics, Reasoning, General Knowledge, Science, and English. On the other hand, the second section has questions on advanced Physics and Mathematics consisting of 50 questions. There is no negative marking and the questions are based on the 10th to 12th syllabus. 

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

The second stage involves a Physical Fitness Test. Under the PFT, candidates have to complete-

• A 1.6km distance run in 7 minutes 
• A total of 20 squat-ups (also known as Uthak Baithak) 
• 10 push-ups 

They have to be perfect in every round to clear the Physical Fitness Test (PFT). Once they pass the test, the document verification process begins. 

Document Verification And Medical Test

Shortlisted candidates will report to INS Chilka to verify their documents. Detailed identity verification is done through an Aadhaar card and biometric. All the documents attached to the application form have also been checked with the original ones. 

Candidates also go through medical tests, which help authorities find any hidden health issues. 

Final Enrolment And Training 

The last stage is final enrolment and training. All the candidates who have passed every stage join the training phase.
